Thriving with a Chronic Illness - Shelby Firsten, RD
Jan 02, 2023Shelby Firsten is a registered dietitian. She worked in Long Term Care initially and then in sales for Nestle Nutrition. After the birth of her first child, she started to become unwell with pain in her feet and mobility was impacted. She tried to resume work; however, was unable to manage.
She was officially diagnosed with a genetic pain condition called hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS) after the birth of her third child. Shelby has navigated this illness her entire life, unknowingly. However, her love and passion for nutrition has never stopped.
